Overview
Local item swapping is fragmented and trust-heavy.
People want to exchange unused items but lack a fast, safe, and transparent way to connect with nearby users who genuinely want them. Existing platforms prioritize selling over swapping, resulting in friction, uncertainty, and low adoption.

Problem Statement

Local item swapping is fragmented and trust-heavy.
People want to exchange unused items but lack a fast, safe, and transparent way to connect with nearby users who genuinely want them. Existing platforms prioritize selling over swapping, resulting in friction, uncertainty, and low adoption.
Objectives
SwapSpace is a trust-first mobile platform designed to make peer-to-peer item swapping safe, structured, and reliable.
Instead of focusing on buying and selling, SwapSpace enables users to exchange items of similar value through a guided, transparent process that prioritises trust and accountability.
Proposed Solutions
To address the challenge of unused items and the difficulty of finding people willing to exchange goods, SwapSpace was designed as a digital platform that allows users to easily swap items instead of buying new ones.
The platform creates a community-driven marketplace where users can list items they no longer need and discover items they would like to receive in return.
